Understand the regime.
Communicate it with confidence.
Your clients are asking about inflation, interest rates, credit, and what the headlines mean. Advisor Desk gives you a governed view of what is happening and what you need to explain it: what changed, why it matters, what to watch, and what would change the view.
It is the advisor translation of the same research CipherBasis publishes, in plain English, with the full research one click away. You keep the relationship. CipherBasis stays behind the scenes.
Advisor Access is in early access and is granted individually. Create an account, and access is confirmed once it is authorized.
The same intelligence, translated for the client conversation.
Research is published openly. Advisor Desk is where selected research is turned into something you can use with a client, every time with the full research behind it.
The current view
One governed view of the moment, stated before the evidence, in a short paragraph you can read in a minute.
Advisor Brief
For selected research: what changed, why it matters, what to watch, and what would change the view.
The client conversation
Plain-language prompts for explaining it, and the questions clients are likely to ask next. Prompts, not instructions.
Full research, always
Each item links back to the complete public article. A library of recent intelligence, and notice when something new is published.
The research itself is public. Advisor Desk, the Briefs and the archive are for advisors with Advisor Access.
Sample: The Sovereignty Inversion.
An excerpt of the Advisor Brief written from a published essay on why a share of France's strongest corporate bonds now yields less than the French government's own.
It is tempting to read that as a verdict that those companies are safer than the state, and the evidence does not show that. What it shows is that French government bonds have cheapened, and that each corporate bond falls below the government curve once the curve has cheapened far enough. The inversion is the observation. Persistence is the test.
The reading weakens if the inversion disappears once the bonds are compared with swap rates and matched on maturity and liquidity, if a handful of issuers account for most of the amount, or if French government bonds recover and the inverted share falls with them without the companies repricing.
“Does this mean French companies are safer than the French government?” Not on this evidence. A lower yield is a statement about price, not about who is more likely to pay.
The same advice. Completely different outcomes.
Standard research is built for the average across all clients. But your client lives one path through time — not an average across parallel universes. Watch what happens when eight clients follow the same advice.
The advisor who knows what they don't know.
Or has more important things to focus on — like their clients.
You understand duration, credit spreads, and Sharpe ratios. You need a governed view of what has changed, in language you can use, without rebuilding the framework yourself.
Your clients ask about inflation, rates, credit, and digital assets. You need a framework that holds up in a client meeting and does not sound like it came from a headline.
You have the AUM. You need the state of the system read carefully, with the reasoning and the falsifiers visible, in material that holds up in an investment committee meeting.
A senior macro and digital-asset research function is expensive to build. Advisor Desk gives a practice the governed view and the translation at a fraction of the cost.
Beneath the view, where the work is quantitative.
Where a view rests on economic state variables, a signal layer tracks them. This is an example of what it looks like: the PCE second derivative, updated on every BEA release. Most advisors track the level. CipherBasis also tracks the acceleration — the signal that tends to lead the headline number. Where a signal is indicated, a person reviews it before it becomes a confirmed state.
Crypto as an Asset Category.
Advisor Desk is the standing product. Some advisors also need research built for one purpose. This is one example: a prospect presentation introducing digital assets to clients, produced as custom research and white-labeled for the practice. Risk-adjusted framework, GARCH volatility, Kelly criterion sizing, DeFi yield analysis.
BTC has no cash flows and defies traditional valuation. Its trajectory is driven by sovereign-grade holders — institutional treasuries, corporations, nation-states. It is evolving as the decentralized treasury layer of the digital economy: finite supply by design, early mover with the deepest network, and viable in any domain. Including space.
Ethereum prioritizes security, decentralization, and programmability — the deepest smart contract ecosystem with the longest institutional track record. Solana prioritizes throughput, accepting different architectural tradeoffs. The choice is not just performance — it is a decision about what kind of infrastructure your allocation is betting on.
Stablecoin supply growth is the most direct measure of institutional capital entering on-chain markets. CipherBasis tracks stablecoin TVL acceleration daily — D1, D2, Z-score — as a leading indicator of where capital flows are heading.
The Mullet Margin framework tracks the spread between on-chain lending yield and the 1-Month T-Bill. When on-chain yield conditions diverge from TradFi alternatives, capital flows follow. Measurable, trackable, and updated daily.
No digital asset has traditional cash flows. Volatility regime analysis and probability-based position sizing frameworks are the rigorous alternatives — applied here to BTC and ETH specifically.
What the architecture debate means for institutional custody, settlement, and long-term protocol durability. Security, scalability, and decentralization as allocation variables — not engineering decisions.
Three ways in.
Every engagement is different. Most advisors start with Advisor Access. Some need research built for a specific purpose. Either can start with a conversation.
The standing product: Advisor Desk, the current view, Advisor Briefs and the research archive. In early access, granted individually.
A specific framework, a prospect presentation, or digital-asset research context for advisor review, white-labeled for your practice. Scoped and priced per project.
A free 30-minute call. You explain what your practice needs. I explain what makes sense to build.
CipherBasis supports the advisor relationship. It does not own or replace it. You control when CipherBasis remains behind the scenes, when its research is used for preparation, and when technical support is invited into a conversation.
Advisor Access is software, intelligence tooling, and workflow support. CipherBasis is not currently an RIA and does not provide discretionary management, trade execution, custody, or client-specific investment advice.
